The argument against Christians Churches in Oklahoma City
I think people that are against the ground zero mosque / cultural center (or whatever the fuck it is) better be against Christian Churches in Oklahoma City because on 04/19/95 our country was attacked by Christians... OK, I'm being over dramatic but I just want to show how retarded the anti mosque argument is. Timothy McVeigh didn't appear to be a Muslim... he was a clean cut, white, Christian Male!
Another Christian Terrorist group is the Phineas Priesthood... they shot Alan Berg for being a blow hard radio show host... they went on to rob banks, & blew up abortion clinics... wow, how Christ like! Robert J Mathews the groups leader was later killed in a gun battle with Federal Agents & is now considered a martyr for the Christian Identity movement.
Fun fact... Robert J Mathews widow went on to date Buford O’Neal Furrow, Buford is the guy that is alleged to have shot up a Jewish day care. Wow, that woman has great taste in men!
The Phineas Priesthood (the Order), Timothy McVeigh & Terry Nichols were Christian males with a hatred for the federal government, Jews, & people of color... most Christians would argue that these racist fuckers aren't representative of their religion, so why can't the same be said about those evil fucks on September 11th?
Now my point isn't to call Christians terrorists... it's just to point out the hypocrisy.

And they allow Catholic Churches near schoolS!
Brilliant!
Karl- You hit it square on the head. Violence in the name of religion is insanity. Unfortunately, history tells us this is how it's been for centuries.
As always, you made me laugh despite the horrendous subject matter. You, my friend, are a genius!
Oh- and I totally got the insanity of the whole anti mosque sentiment. Amen. I didn't want you to think I missed your point! LOL!
Golly gee I thought the US had a constitution that allows for religious freedom? Maybe the anti-mosque movement should ask themselves whether they have any respect for the 'founding fathers' and other things (shudder) nationalistic.
Extremism is a bastard, you know.
What a bunch of self congratulatory nonsense. These guys weren't really "Christians," whatever they called themselves. They were evil people. Anymore than you people are "intellecutals," whatever you believe about yourself.
They believed that Jesus Christ was the son of God and the Messiah. That sounds pretty God damn Christian. Also, "self-congratulatory"? What's more "self-congratulatory" than thinking only you know the correct way to enter an unverified nirvana?
